BEARS SET ALL TIME MVC WIN STREAK

MSU broke the record of 19 consecutive MVC league wins with their 20th straight yesterday. Pretty amazing given we don't really have that strong of starting pitching this year. Bears also have clinched regular season title; are playing now in hopes of hosting a regional once NCAA Tourney starts.

MVC Tourney is in Springfield this year, but given our lack of starting pitching depth, not sure how we'll hold up in tourney play, both MVC and NCAA. But we've got some hitters; hurt when we lost Meyer a couple weeks back, but going thru 2-5 in our lineup w/o getting dinged a couple times a game is tough.

Our pitching at times worries me too. But I wouldn't bet against this team. They just seem to find a way to win.

Terrific accomplishment in setting the MVC record. We also have a chance to be the first MVC team to have an unbeaten conference season.
