Red evens the score today pounding the Shockers 6-5.

Tomorrow the rubber match.

Big upset in Normal, Shox take rubber match 8-6 in ten innings and two of three this weekend.

Gene was highly complimentary of the other programs in theh conference. He is awed by their experience and skill while he is stuck with skinny freshmen and sophomores. If the Shox don't finish last, Gene has to be Coach of the Year.
