I wouldn't call it a "dramatic finish" - pretty much MSU pee'd themselves and let CU off the hook. It was the best outcome Shockers fans could have hoped for.
Bottom of the ninth inning. CU with a one run lead. MSU with the bases loaded and only one out. Elimination game in the conference tourney. That's not dramatic? I realize Wichita wasn't on the field, but it was pretty dramatic to everyone who was actually involved.
On a 2-0 pitch the msu hitter swung at terrible pitch and popped up. Dramatic case of terrible situational hitting. And then the was a routine can-o-corn. Pretty anti-dramatic IMO.
Now had the batter put the ball in play on the ground or got a fly ball to the outfield then there would have been a dramatic finish with a play at the plate or the umpire blew a call.
