MVC baseball tournament ticket info

Postby MVCfans » May 15th, 2011, 11:57 am

I am pleased that we have been in contact with tournament organizers about helping promote this year's Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournament. The tournament is to be held at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha from May 24-28. All-session tickets are available for just $36 (adults) and $20 (youth).

From MVC release:
All-session tickets - the same reserved seat for all five sessions of the
event - are $36 for adults and $20 for youth. All-session tickets can be
purchased by stopping by the Creighton Ticket Office or the Qwest Center
Omaha Box Office or by contacting the Creighton Ticket Office by phone
(402-280-JAYS) or e-mail (cuticketoffice@creighton.edu). "

Sounds like a great deal on tickets. Seeds aren't set in stone I know, but is there a schedule of the games/bracket available online somewhere?

Is this a one year deal in Omaha or will the MVC tourney be there every year?

It will be there every year. It is part of the mvc plan to allow all mvc schools to be able to say they got to Omaha in the post season so they can hopefully snare some less informed recruits.

Thanks for the tweets. I'll need them as I head to the belly of the beast, Lawrence Kansas, for an industry conference Wednesday and Thursday.

Given their attendance figures in Omaha, there would be no reason to host the MVC Tournament anywhere else. Wichita cannot compete with the financial boon that TD Ameritrade Park brings to the conference. How will the profits be distributed to the member schools?

ISASO, we have been here before. We all know there are no profits in college baseball. Isn't it amazing though that Creighton finished 7th in NCAA baseball this year in attendance? WSU finished 16th. Even more amazing that if you just take the games at TD we finish 2nd behind LSU.

That is why the BJ's are now the "Class of the Valley", attendance thru the roof, great team, great stadium, great coach, great everything from here on out.
