‘18 Arch Madness - Thursday Night Games

12 months ago, Cliff Smart declared “if the fans want to drop out next year, they can....we will welcome them back when we are going to the NCAA”.

Fast forward 8 months, the press coronated MSU and UNI #1 and #2. The MVC concurred - scheduling the two for the final day of the season anticipating a Missouri Valley title on the line.

But a senioritis spiral and cryotherapy curse spoiled dreams. ESPN washed its hands of the two for ILST/Loyola. And CBS Sports kicked the two to espn3 for INST/Bradley. Now the two preseason princes bookend Thursday night, kicking off with a Purple Party.

Taylor with a game not unlike Milton Doyle’s last year. 2 points. Dru Smith is a top 15 player in this league.

UE AD should have the two guys in the purple/orange spandex suits with opposite color hats run the student section next year.

Aces purposefully fouling with 7 ticks on the shot clock under 2 minutes left.

Might be an emotional night in the Simmons’ household.

Sugar Bears and Alize Johnson redeeming the price of admission (22/17 right now).

Mvc should know AST>STL for useful scoreboard stats but free, workable wifi is a great touch.
