Moving briskly ahead, we open the vote for 8th place.

Each week we will open a poll for users to predict the end of season finish for the MVC 2018-19 basketball season. We will work in reverse order, concluding with the predicted MVC champion chosen by our users between the last two teams remaining in week 9.

Drake was recently selected as the likely 9th place finisher (results: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5081 )

I imagine voting gets a little tighter now, though I think MSU will likely be designated for this slot . Lots of teams with ??? from here to the top 3 or 4. Little things can really impact a 2-3 game difference which then can impact a 3-4 place swing in the standings. Bradley just took a hit with the injury to their big freshman, UNI already has had some injury and roster change ; who knows how much impact those kind of issues ultimately have. MSU has so many ??? with a new coach, a limited number of available players, and 6 of ten scholarship players are inexperienced at the d-1 level. But we have some talent, some size, some experience in key positions and with a few breaks could surprise.

There's been a few votes for each of Bradley and ISUr in all rounds so far. I think we have a late "hate voting" going on...

I noticed that too. It's ridiculous--those 2 will both be in the hunt late. I was just thinking yep--that's BU fans and ISU fans trying to stick to each other, which is fine I guess; it's what makes rivalries fun.

Entirely possible both will (maybe even likely), but what's the fun in picking the same top 4 as last year?
