Granted it is possible that Ja Morant is their Alec Peters and that they might struggle with the transition to the MVC as we have as they search for their next go to star. It doesn't mean they shouldn't be added but it does mean that there's a chance that they won't immediately solve all of our problems.

The thing is that no matter how good a team is, they won't solve the Valley's problems. If they are as good next year as they are this year, they get the Valley's one bid. We could have added Valpo back when Wichita State was still in the league, Valpo wouldn't have been getting at large bids despite having Alec Peters on the team. The problem is perception amongst the selection committee, and unfair scheduling practices. I am not opposed to having Murray join the Valley. Any time you can add a quality team to the conference, I say do it. Just don't look for that to move us back to a multi-bid league.

Point I've made repeatedly. Typically when a team that has dominated it's league joins a traditional 1 bid/occasional multi-bid league, all that happens is that team no longer see's the NCAA tourney like it had before. I like the idea of Murray in the Valley, but it won't change anything. Doesn't mean don't go after them, but all this angst about what will happen if we don't or belief that if we do great things will happen is just silly.
