Missouri State "officially" closes out the non conference slate with a large win over William Woods University (NAIA) 105-56 or something like that

Absolutely nothing in our junior and senior classes and had Lohaus not gotten hurt he wouldn't be here this year.

Inexcusable. We're the easiest team on the planet to scheme for. Send 2 or 3 guys at AJ Green and then watch everyone else on the floor miss wide open 3s and layups. We can't shoot a f****** layup at this point.

Our newest specialty seems to be defending hard for 25 seconds and then giving up an uncontested layup.

We didn't see it in the moment but the program, and Ben Jacobson, were irreversibly broken on March 20, 2016. It's been 2 1/2 years and we haven't looked like UNI once since that happened. Recruiting is awful, coaching has been conservative and generally milquetoast. We're spending more on actual basketball expenses than any team in the league and I'll be shocked if we win more than 3 or 4 league games.

A guy I know who is a coach is surprised how bad UNI is right now. Green is a nice player but he's limited and once teams take him away everyone else is clueless.

Are you seriously claiming all of UNI's woes are the result of the A&M game? Geez, that was nothing but a little bit of good old fashioned karma. UNI was the freaking 4th place team in the Valley that year. Probably shouldn't have gotten past Wichita, definitely shouldn't have beat Evansville. Simmons gift wrapped the first 39 minutes of that game and delivered it with a lovely bow. Even with that, Washpun hits that shot less than 1 in 20 at best..but the luck doesn't end there, you basically beat Texas in the same manner in the opening round. All of that winning with house money finally catches up when A&M returns the favor the following round. Tough loss indeed, but you got three extra games, and a tournament bid that you were no way qualified for.

To call up recollections of Lidge/Pujols, and claim it wrecked the program seems a little dramatic. The fact your season didn't end on a Saturday in St. Louis should be considered very positively.
