Sucks for Drake and Norton. He was a lock for 1st team all valley the way he was playing and Drake was looking like a top 3 or 4 team.

There are probably about 6 teams worthy of Thursday night right now.

Coach Devries indicated they will appeal for a 6th year of eligibility. Might as well, worse the NCAA can do is say no.

The NCAA will do what they do. Who knows. The NCAA did grant Teddy Hawkins a 6th year at BC, Hawkins decided he didn't want it and went pro overseas. Norton pegs me as a guy who used the grad transfer rule for the reason it was intended. I think the NCAA will do right and we have not seen the last of Norton.

The main difference between Hawkins and Norton (outside of the obvious off the court things you guys love to bring up HA) is that I believe Hawkins played in like 5-8 games where Norton has played just shy of half the season.

Hopefully the NCAA does the right thing.

Career ending ACL tear.

That's a damn shame for a good kid.

Damn sucks for drake as I thought they were set to be a top 4 seed. I dont think Norton should get another year based on the rules, but if they do I wouldn't be mad for the valleys sake

His knee just buckled on him with no contact or slippage on floor. Feel for the kid. He's a great little guard...but not the best player in Valley. Drake is still a top 5 team without Norton IMO. Don't sleep on the Aces. They are well coached. Look for Walt and the Purple Aces to shake things up at Arch Madness!
