What exactly is wrong with Bradley basketball?

The issue is that Wardle is limited. If you look at his analytics, he's never been able to coach efficient offensive basketball - and most of the time it's not even average offensive basketball. His teams have generally been good enough defensively to be competitive, sometimes really good, but scoring the ball has never been a strong suit of his teams.

He did a nice job instilling some consistency with the program and many in Peoria liked his hard-nosed coaching style, but he's not the guy to get them to the top of the league.

This might sound harsh for a guy that has improved his win total each season (they won't this year), but they made a mistake extending him.

They're now 13 years removed from an NCAA appearance. If Bradley is serious about being a factor and don't want to wait another 13 years, they should explore other options.

Right on. Like almost every coach hired now Coach Wardle preached "uptempo offense". He never meant it and his teams have never played it.

Of course I prefer a faster game with much better offense. But if you want to be slow--that's fine. You just can't turn the damn ball over 16-20 times a game. That's what is so ridiculous. A veteran team with veteran guards turns the ball over like they are all freshmen playing 1991 Loyola Marymount style.

As a Bradley fan, I am at a complete loss. This team has absolutely quit and is completely lost. How do you win a Tournament in November against some name teams, and then just implode. We started the year 6-1 with a 1 point loss @UIC in which we played terrible and had a shot in the air to win the game.

Since then, we have 2-9 with a win over terrible Chicago State and @Little Rock. The team has gotten blown out by 20 points at home to Drake without their best player and UNI by 20 as well. Bradley went 13-2 at home last year, and started the MVC 6-0 at home last year and finished 8-2.

It is absolutely mind blowing and I think a lot of casual fans will now check out on the rest of the season after another horrible home performance last night.

Whats funny is had Bradley not hired Brian Wardle he would have taken that job at NKU.
