The issue is that Wardle is limited. If you look at his analytics, he's never been able to coach efficient offensive basketball - and most of the time it's not even average offensive basketball. His teams have generally been good enough defensively to be competitive, sometimes really good, but scoring the ball has never been a strong suit of his teams.
He did a nice job instilling some consistency with the program and many in Peoria liked his hard-nosed coaching style, but he's not the guy to get them to the top of the league.
This might sound harsh for a guy that has improved his win total each season (they won't this year), but they made a mistake extending him.
They're now 13 years removed from an NCAA appearance. If Bradley is serious about being a factor and don't want to wait another 13 years, they should explore other options.
