The new AD Kill has told everyone who is listening that Hinson must make a postseason tournament. We shall see .

7 years of no post season play is enough. Winning conference will not mean much so it's MVC tourney champs or bust. We'll see what happens.

7 years isn't that bad, heck Evansville held onto Simmons for 11 years. And we only had 1 sniff
of a post season bid.

Sorry for your pain UE Fans , Hinson thought UE made a mistake firing Simmons ?
What’s the feeling in Evansville now with the new coach? It looks like a solid hire from afar .

I just touched on this a bit on another thread. The only mistake we made with Simmons is not canning him sooner, or even hiring him in the first place. The culture has changed so much in the last year. Money and resources are being thrown into the program that even the most optimistic wouldn't have dreamed of a year ago. Attendance his spiked so much, that we are actually leading the league right now. Watch parties are common at area sports bars, and you see a lot more apparel being worn. Playing with Marty's back ups from the 8th place team last year, we have been surprisingly competitive. So much so, that many of us, myself included, are forgetting its supposed to be a rebuilding year, and expecting a win out each game.

I have defended Barry for years, but I think it is probably time for you guys to change direction. His rant defending Marty only confirmed his wiring is shorting out. Best of luck.

Niko may have lost by 40, but he’s not even the ex-Drake coach in the worst position.

Alford was great. Still talks fondly of MSU and Springfield.
