Yes, and delusional enough to think Matt McMahon is on the short list of replacements.

As long as they are in the SEC, that job is pretty much a career killer. They simply don't play by the same rules as Calipari, Pearl and the others.

McMahon may get a P5 offer he can't turn down, but I doubt it will be Vandy's.

I don’t know anything about that. McMahon is a good coach and I won’t ever begrudge a man with a wife and kids from taking a 3-5x pay raise. But he is also smart. He knows what he wants and he knows it takes time to build it. None of the past really successful coaches to come through Murray State (Billy Kennedy, Steve Prohm, Mick Cronin) are “microwave” coaches. They want a certain culture. For teams like Vandy, culture takes too long. They want results now and will Fire a guy who has the best recruiting class in school history in his third year after going to the NCAA in year one.

McMahon is a smart guy. If leaves for another job, it won’t be because he didn’t know what the risks were.
