There's a very lengthy article by Wyatt Wheeler [ who's doing some great things with coverage of the Bears and MSU these days] about the course Coach Dana Ford's taken in trying to build the Bears program. Rather long and detailed, but worth a read. [Sorry I wasn't in position to put a link here ] One thing I've learned about Ford in the past year is he's not overly effusive in comments about his team or players, he calls it the way he sees it and doesn't sugar coat stuff. So it is a bit out of character and probably worth noting when he says about freshman Mosley ; "He's gifted. He can put the ball in the basket. Once he figures it out, by the time he's done playing here, if he's not one of the schools all time leading scorers it would surprise me."
He also notes significant improvement in senior [ 3rd team MVC, ] Keandre Cook, who with Mosley gives the Bears a pair of potentially high scoring 6'5 wings to go with the 6'8 pair of DaSilva and Prim inside. I think because of the lateness of his commit and questions about his academics, the addition of Mosley went a bit under the radar. But he is a very efficient scorer who will push for playing time and possibly FOY.
It's looking pretty likely that Freeman will rs as he is still rehabbing his knee and really, with the depth on the wing the Bears have , they can afford to give him this year. He's actually was the highest rated of our incoming freshmen, even before Harris opted to go to KU. Tyrik Dixon will start at pg, and Cook and DaSilva are probably locks as well, but the battle between Mosley, Prim, Lamont West, Josh Harris, and Ridder for those other two spots should be intense. And that still leaves Mohammed, 6'3 freshman Ford Cooper [ a 4****], 6'3 freshman Black, and 6'11 Scott trying to break into the rotation. Cooper stands a good chance to play alot as the second prime ball handler.
