I thought it would be interesting to look at our performance on these polls.

Here is 18-19:

10th Place - Evansville (10)=0
9th Place - Drake (2)=+7

So we're off an average of 2.3 places per team. I would guess that is probably better than most publication predictions. Would be interesting to see how we do against the media poll and coaches poll.

What standings are you using in the Parenthesis? Bradley did not finish 7th, they tied for 5th and were the 5 seed in Arch Madness. Assuming that left most part of column is where we picked them last year, here is the correct order based on Arch Madness seeds:

Interestingly, I bet UNI fans did a lot more moaning about being picked 6th preseason than Drake fans did about being picked 9th.

Being a Drake fan must be weird. Every year, you have hope. Most years you end up locked into Thursday night by the end of January. But once a decade---BAM---conference champ outta nowhere.

Most of that was under a bad (for athletics) president and AD. I think you will see much more consistency with the program in the future. I truly think everything else being equal, Drake should be one of the best programs in the Valley. Good size market, lots of potential fan support and business support.
