Now comes a chance to play the Aces. They have played well in this spot recently going 4-0 ATS in their last 4. They are 4-1-1 ATS in home conference games this year, and are 4-1 in their last 5 as conference underdogs. The Panthers have not been good on the road ATS. They are 3-7 ATS in true road games this year, 2-4 ATS in conference road games. They are only 3-8 ATS as a favorite against conference opponents.
PREDICTION: Evansville 68-66.


WICHITA STATE (-17) vs. Southern Illinois

The Shockers are 4-3 ATS in conference home games, but everything else screams lay the points. They are 10-3 ATS in conference, 4-0 ATS in their last 4, and they have covered 6 of 8 this year as double digit favorites, including laying 18 once, 17 twice, and 15 twice, so they know how to cover big numbers. The Salukis are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 and are only 1-4-1 ATS in conference road games. Just for good measure, they are only 2-5-1 ATS as a conference underdog. Huge point spread be dammed. Creighton (-3) @ DRAKE

Creighton is only 5-6 ATS as a favorite this year but they are 4-2 in that spot in conference play. They are strong as a road play, 8-2 ATS in true road games, 6-1 ATS in conference road games. Drake however has been hot. 4-0 ATS in their last 4, 5-1 ATS in their last 6. They are 7-4 ATS at home this year, 5-2 in that spot in conference. They have also covered their last 4 as a conference underdog. As hot as they have been, it has hard to play against what Creighton has done on the road. Have to pass. PREDICTION: Creighton 73-70.

My, my, my how the abyss has come calling. It's a shame really. I never thought CLO had what it took, but I couldn't have imagined him creating this kind of mess. The gimmick that was SIU-C Basketball, was firmly established by his predecessors and set on cruise control. All he had to do was refill the tank and dust off the football pads every year. Perhaps the word was getting around on the recruiting trail that signing with SIU-C equates to a one-way trip to basketball hell? The style SIU-C employed couldn't have been fun to play much less practice.

Basketball is supposed to be fun.
