I still think they would have dropped some games even if healthy. I cant overemphasize how different the team looks compared to the last two years in terms of personnel, so many new pieces, but they're all settling in. Clemons a steady point and pesky defender, Kennedy and Pipkins are both developing into scoring spark plugs off the bench... biggest surprise has probably been D2 transfer Tate Hall who's become a real leader on the floor, tough as nails, second leading scorer. They've been fun to watch even in loses, especially after last year where they really only had 2-3 scoring options in any given game. I feel good about how they've been gelling despite a tough loss today... last year they would have collapsed being down 2 starters in the majority of a half.
They'll still lose some head scratchers this year, they're not there yet, Valpo (everyone really) will be TOUGH, but there's been a massive improvement in play since Coppin; way faster than i would have thought. Next year I'm really hoping they can be scary. We don't lose anyone playing minutes right now plus get Kaifes back, Norris eligible, and Baylor Hebb who's been on an absolute tear in Texas... the worst player on the roster by then may very well be Uguak who has started for a season and a half.
