Aaron Cook out 4-6 weeks

Announced today that he will seek a medical redshirt.

If granted, as of now, that would leave us with 1 scholarship for next year. We need about 3 bigs so not sure just how that is going to work out. Back to the days where we will be the Runnin Runts I guess.

I hope he gets the redshirt. I know having size up front is important but it would seem to me that having a veteran player who is a great scorer would be a good thing for a team in the second year of a rebuild to help keep them competitive while the reinforcements arrive and get built up over time. This way you'll be more competitive while you can find the size you need.

So did Aaron just get hurt or has he already been injured. Also

AC was injured in the Murray State game, game #7 of the season. The original time frame to heal was 4-6 weeks as noted. The swelling persisted post-surgery.

Ironically, Eric McGill had something very similar last season and was granted a medical redshirt for this year. Honestly, I will be shocked if AC is denied another season.

McGill was injured 2 season ago, but yes, I'll be surprised if Cook doesn't receive a redshirt.
