NMTTA; 5th year Seniors - Who would benefit most?

Not Much TO Talk About, so...
I really don’t think that the NCAA will give seniors another year. But IF they did, who would benefit most?

In general, I think MidMajors would benefit a little more than the P6 schools.

Within the MVC, UNI would benefit quite a lot. Isaiah, Spencer, and Dahl all were key pieces. Isaiah and Dahl in particular seem still to be improving.

Question: if you give seniors the extra year of eligibility, do you condition it on them playing for the school they're currently at or are they free to transfer as well? Because I can see a meh P5 team or a P5 team losing players to the draft (i.e. Dayton might return seniors for a 5th year, but there's no way Toppin plays another game for them) try to snag a whole bunch of seniors

I don’t think they were including NCAA basketball. I think it was just spring sports.

This is correct.

Just conversation... since I’m gonna be home this week instead of traveling.

As other have already stated, I doubt anything will change for basketball given the regular season being over.

That being said, if they were to extend it to all schools in basketball, I'd hope that there would be a caveat of you can't transfer to another school like you can as a grad transfer. I'd give this about a 0.1% of happening, but if by some miracle, it did, I'd hope it would require the players to stay where they were.

Ridiculous idea to give senior basketball players another year IMO. Baseball or track -sure.
