Nice for an MVC team get a win against the A-10 when Loyola is leaving to there.

The A-10 has lost like 9 buy games I believe. St. Bonnie is legit, but the overall showing for them has not been impressive so far this season.

If that trend continues that's good for the MVC.

ISU eked out a win against Bucknell to get to 2-2. They were close to being 3-1 so the season is going better than I expected.

ISU doesn't have any overly impressive wins, but it is one of the more interesting and positive developments so far this season. Both ISUs actually.

No one could have anticipated that Reeves, Chapman, and Freeman would be as good as they have been. Three of the Redbird starters were not on the team last season. Fleming and Washington were starters last season. This season they are coming off the bench. This team will get better as they get more experience playing together. I don’t anticipate this Redbird team being a Thursday team in St Louis. Tuesday’s game will be a big test for them against St Louis (CBSSports channel 7:30). Was at the game Saturday and was encouraged by their effort.

The path out of Thursday is still a long one this year. Even with some tough starts by some teams, it will be difficult. I am curious how well those 3 guys handle MVC defenses though.

About 8-10 years ago the A-10 got five teams into the big dance. VCU, Dayton, George Washington all advanced. In 2006 the MVC got four teams in with two advancing to the sweet 16.
It's Cyclical in sports, and especially at the mid major level. Maybe it's Valley time again? We'll see.

Bradley is really bad right now. If I'm Wardle, I re-open every position and make it up for grabs. Terry Roberts and Connor Hickman are the only ones who should have minutes earned right now.

I never thought I would see another year like 2015-2016. In Wardle's first season on a short recruiting cycle with a completely blown up roster, Bradley beat Ball State 54-53 in the opener and then proceeded to snap off 15 straight D1 losses and finish 3-27 against D1 opponents.

I don't think this year will be as bad but I'm not not saying it won't be as bad
