Given this SELF-PROFESSED resistance to change on the part of UNI fans, I am compelled to ask. Are there a large number of UNI fans who also still use rotary dial phones that hang on the wall and play an Atari 2600 game system? Do they still plow up the corn fields with oxen-powered plows? Do they fear the presence of bandits on the dusty road to Kansas City?

Your friend should sign up and ask his/her own questions. Here are my answers. My folks had a rotary dial phone (in addition to other phones) until a year or two ago. I remember that it allowed them to make calls during extended power outages during ice storms, etc. I have an Atari emulator on my computer. There are several Amish colonies in Iowa still using horse drawn equipment, however I doubt very many Amish would be considered fans of the Panthers or any other sports team. As for bandits, I'm not too sure about that. I'm more afraid of the pot holes on I-35.

I'm glad UNI fans can now be counted among those who like to hang onto the past, in addition to celebrating the present.

Didn't have a chance to read the whole string, but don't forget that it is Mardi Gras weekend in St. Louis. They have a pretty good celebration in St. Louis, so come for the whole weekend. If your team is out of it on Friday - more time for Mardi Gras. Bring lots of beads

Saint Louis is perfect.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

Approx. ticket sales numbers about 2 weeks ago was listed at:

WSU – 1450
CU – 950
ILS – 575
UNI – 500
MSU – 400
SIU – 325
BU – 275
INS – 102
DU – 100
UE – 100

So, as of three weeks ago, we've sold 4,775 tickets. The bright side is that only 75% of the arena will be empty.

Those #'s are only all-session tickets sold thru the schools. It doesn't include people who buy tickets from the Scottrade Center or ticketmaster or individual sessions, etc.
