You N I bows out of the NIT, looked like (only from the box score) they showed up for the first half and didn’t for the second. I feel bad because of the weird seeding thing the NIT did this year, I feel y’all got a little shafted.

The Drake dominates as we are hoping they will throughout.

Murray State falls to a Cinderella (super nervous playing a 15), which, honestly kind of a switch to be on the favored end of a Cinderella game in the Valley haha.

The CIT, or The Tournament Formerly Known as the CIT, or the For Some Reason ESports Merged With An Anti Racism Campaign Classic is a perfect example of why I don’t believe the Valley should take bids outside of the NCAA or NIT. Couldn’t even get 32 teams, had two teams withdraw, and completely and utterly disorganized.

Really kind of upset that the NIT Games got taken off network/ESPN this year in favor of streaming. I feel the group that cares about the NIT (apart from weirdos like myself…. read Bradley fans who remind everyone that “we won the NIT when the NIT was more important than the fledgling NCAA tournament” lol) are more into traditional mediums.

Overall pretty good week for the Valley. The OVC patches came off of Belmont’s unis in the first round of the NIT and off Murray’s last night. The MVC patch came off LUC and everyone can crack on with life post realignment. I hope the LUC fans stick around, even as lurkers. Let’s get that annual H/H with Bradley lined up

There was added pressure after last year to pump up the women's games so they're on every ESPN network.
