For those curious, the Almanac picks the Valley race as follows:

Drake
Bradley
SIU
Mo St
Belmont
UNI
Indiana St
Murray St
Valpo
Illinois St
UIC
Evansville

A little closer to what my thoughts are, although I still think that is low for Murray and high for Belmont.

I guess it's a nod to Jacobson, which I get, but there are multiple rosters picked below UNI that I would rather have than UNI's this year, particularly if Phyfe can't go ... Murray and both ISUs especially.

Missouri State and Belmont look a tad high to me and Murray maybe a tad low but that's not terrible far off from where I'm at...

BEARZ77 wrote:Down loaded my digital copy of "The Almanac" today and just browsing it , it puts Blue Ribbon to shame , or at least it's far superior to what I got from BR last year for around $26 and this was $15. It has so many more graphics and lists, is better formatted for easy finding and access to specific info. I'd recommend it highly if you want just 1 preseason guide.

The Almanac is great, highly recommend

Murray this season is an unknown quantity. Hence the wide range of expectations.

Sophomores Bowen Born and Nate Heise will lead UNI to victory.

Meh, it's not like even UNIs great teams have won the 'looks great getting off the bus' battle. Born, Heise, Anderson, Peksari is a really nice core and if Phyfe can go at all it really rounds out the roster. A top 4 finish wouldn't surprise me at all.
