Last year just felt like a giant disappointment the entire 2 months, and we still finished 11th as a league. Just curious, does anyone else feel the same way so far? I know there are a ton of games left…
Hard to say. The MVC has picked up a few good wins for sure. ISUb has been a surprise positive.
But, the current rank of the MVC teams as of 11/21 are ...
Drake 46
ISUb 52
SIU 103
Bradley 105
Murray 122
MSU 154
UNI 227
Belmont 237
Valpo 240
ISUr 245
UIC 263 (loyola 266)
Evansville 283
It's early so these rankings are most likely meaningless but still, don't remember ever having so many 200 ranked teams.
What rankings are you looking at? Not questioning, genuinely curious. I know rankings vary based on which source you're looking at.
This is how Kenpom has it right now
1. Drake 72
2. SIU 96
3. Mo State 102
4. Murray State 108
5. Indiana State 119
6. Bradley 121
7 Belmont 139
8. UNI 144
9. Valpo 254
10. Illinois State 256
11. UIC 278
12. Evansville 322
8/12 teams in the Top 150 doesnt seem too bad. The bottom 4 rankings are brutal for the league and need to improve. If Drake, SIU, MO State, Murray, and ISUb continue to perform well in the non con then you could possibly get 5 teams into the Top 100 by the time league play starts. Not saying thats gonna happen but it's a possibility.
