Imo, I didnt really think he would get it...do I think he is that level of a talent? ooo hellz to the yeah...he has that ability to make every player around him better and that is undisputable. MCD was pretty well loved by the media and i mean if you look at it by the numbers clearly D mac is deserving of this award as well...I do think he needed to be put into the conversation especially afters ome of the games he had to keep a Sycamore squad in the discussion...and as things came together this year, they clearly started to play some of their best ball...He was the lynch pin to the third best team in the valley, clearly he should at least be in the discussion...also comparing MCD to Odum numbers wise and numbers alone is like comparing a Quarterbacks numbers to a receivers...I mean the QB had sooooo many more yards lol...I will say this, I expect those two to have some epic battles over the years to come...

Murray was asked to run point for a large portion Of the season until Ragland came around which hurt his overal stats. But he was a good rebounder and defensive player and wsu would not have been where they are if he had not did what was asked of him unselfishly. I'm glad he got rewarded for the intangibles that he brought to wsu team and that most would overlook.

Except Odum and McDermott won't really battle each other. It won't be like the Funk-Jacobson battles. The teams may have some epic battles, but that will depend on whether CU's incoming class, together with Will Artino and the kid from Gonzaga are good enough to put CU back at the top of the pack next year. We will still be a pretty young team next year, and will depend on the new players to be better than the departing class. Not sure that can happen early, but it should happen by mid season.

Yeah I get what you are saying but alot like when Chris Paul plays against Lebron James its all about whose team comes out on top...I see it in that sort of competitive nature....
