Absolutely deserved and it's not even close. Game planning was great. Players bought into what he wanted without question. Brought back SIU's former defensive pressure.

MSU played really solid, disciplined ball with a plan and a purpose.

My vote for second is Jacobsen. If Jacobsen and Martin stick around a couple of years, I think the Valley will be on an upward trend. Those two guys can flat-out coach a basketball team.

Lansing and Simmons appear to have over-achieved, but I'm still taking a bit of a wait-and-see position there. If what they did this year is the pattern, the Valley is in for good times. The possibility that this year is an anomaly has to be considered.
