In 20 years, Henderson went from high school girls to high school boys to NDSU assistant to SDSU assistant to SDSU HC just by winning everywhere he was. He climbed the ladder naturally instead of through connections (he was a D2 player).

Murray fans and Drake fans will be watching exciting, high quality basketball these next few years with their hires.

Seems like a smart hire. Obviously, Drake has done a good job in that regard with recent hires as well.

Yeah, Nagy bringing zero players from Wright State contributed to the uphill climb in his first season.

The one guy who did come was Jaheem Webber, a high school signee who redshirted. Hoping he is ready to contribute in the post next season.

Watching some of the intro press conferences today and Ali Farokhmanesh's is laced with Valley references.

Ali: "it all started at Jethro's BBQ for everyone in Iowa who knows what that's about when I was a young assistant coach at Drake University."

Colorado St AD pointed out at the start that Ben Jacobson was in attendance. Ali shouted out a Northern Iowa shirt in the audience and said Jacobson called him that morning to tell him he's in Fort Collins for the press conference (unbeknownst to Ali).
