People are retconning results into capacity. Evansville’s capacity is there. The results haven’t.

Correct, typically because BC takes any opportunity to make baseless shots due to some weird personal issue.

Doesn't capacity include breaking ground on a $3mil "clubhouse" addition to what is already arguably one of the best baseball field in the league? Of course, a UNI fan wouldn't understand that.

Based on recent success what current MVC teams would we take anyway? Certainly not Evansville, Valpo, Illinois State, SIU, and Murray State.

UIC only for the same reasons we took them in the first place.

UNI and Indiana State maybe.

Belmont, Bradley, and Drake yes.

It's not about recent success. It's about capacity.

There are only two schools in this league that don't have the capacity.

Perfect. Let's add Chicago State.

Evansville has been here for three decades. They've proven they don't have it. I don't care what they list for attendance in a civic arena.

Having more capacity than Valpo isn't an endorsement for having enough capacity for the MVC. That just proves that they're 11/12. Blame it on administration or whatever you want, but they don't have it.

$3M would be UNIs 5th largest capital project over the last two years and we're probably in the worst financial shape of the other other publics due to the Iowa Legislature and Board of Regents war on anything located outside of Iowa City.

Since the Summer of 2024:
$9M UNI-Dome Roof Replacement
$22M UNI-Dome Seating Bowl Renovation/Suite Addition/Additional Restrooms
$15M Basketball/Volleyball Practice Facility breaks ground in August
$6M Wrestling Practice Facility breaks ground in Oct/Nov

Current reports from inside the school claim that enrollment actually increased Call it marginal, but that's a sign of improvement in an era where improvement in enrollment is hard to come by. Especially for a small private school.

The major concerns for Moody was the art sale from what it seems, which the person who is responsible for such is set to resign at the end of the year, and the secluded nature of the board and their failure to disclose information to shareholders.

I don't think the school is in any danger of closing yet. The endowment is still fairly high for a school in VUs situation and they certainly wont be alone in the enrollment cliff. However, the current president hire is probably going to be for all the cards.

Not sure how impressed we are all supposed to be with all that, but Congrats on Fixing your leaky roof and upgrading your bathrooms, I guess. Also, congrats on your new Practice Facility; Evansville has had one for a decade.
