I hope ISU goes out there and shows it deserves to be there...it will be a tough outing whomever we play...all quality teams in the tournament...I hope we grab one of those big east teams like Georgetown...our low post defense is better than it looks with Myles Walker...No more days of Josh Crawford lol...Those who think we are gonna get "run out of the gym" are the same people who said the same thing when we played WSU and MSU. Not saying INSU is some unstoppable juggernaut but we surely arent anything to scoff at, we did finish third lol

Definitely nothing to scoff at and deserve credit for winning the valley tourney and the bid. No offense to In St., but the valley is super weak this year and I don't see the magic happening. We all thought last year was a "down" year and I think we can all agree that the conference slid even further this year. I am hoping that in 2 years we will be strong again as a whole.

CU and possibly Indiana St. will stand out next year. Maybe WSU too if Marshal can work his magic, but I think the valley will come to its full potential when a lot these talented freshman on various teams are upperclassmen. There is not much in between right now, but I am hopeing that CU maintains what it has for the next couple years and we see a few more teams rise to that level.

I am not saying we are gonna pull a George Mason here lol...I just dont see us getting run over lol...Look at when we played the two top 10 teams we had this season...we played them really hard all day...If Jajuan Johnson hadnt turned into Roddimus prime in the first half we may even win lol

I hear a lot of talk about Indiana State getting matched up with a mid-major. I wonder if people have facts to back this up as UNI has really never faced a mid-major in the first round. I guess if you want to call the MWC mid-major you can consider UNLV a mid-major. But we have faced Missouri, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Georgetown, and Purdue. We were a 14 seed twice and ended up with Missouri and Georgia Tech. We beat Missouri and gave National Runner-Up GT all they ever wanted.

I think Indiana State will be a very tough out for whoever they play. I mean after our draw last year, and with how "weak" the Valley was last year nobody gave us a chance even against UNLV. We know how that turned out. I wouldn't worry about what other fans are saying to you ISU fans because jealousy will do that to people they want where you are. Good luck!!

Hey UNIFan,
That's a pretty solid break down...I wouldnt mind seeing us play SDSU that will be a tough out for us yes...but they arent the most disciplined team in the history of mankind...and we do well against those!...I also wouldnt mind a match-up witht he BRandon davies-less BYU...wouldnt mind Syracuse or Georgetown either!

I think UNI was lucky that Lon Kruger didn't press them the entire game in the opening round, otherwise we might not have an Ali story. I couldn't believe it took them that long in the game to realize that was how to beat you. Gave you fitz at the end.

Glad they didn't though. UNI put on a great face for the valley last year. Too bad it was trumped by Butlers run.

Always said if I had to choose between a GREAT defensive team with decent offense or a GREAT offensive team with just decent defense I will take the defense...I like it when my team can lull a team into a basketball brawl...
