Saluki fans are stuck between wanting what is best for the program in the long term (no lowery) and wanting the team to succeed right now. Do you keep paying for a bad product or insist on changes? Things are not good right now.

It's been reported that SIU can't afford to buy out Lowery's contract to fire him.

This shouldn't be a surprise. It's the AD's way of basically saying, "Sorry, he's not going to be fired this year. So you can quit emailing me and bugging me to fire him. Thanks."

Really do feel sorry for your fanbase. Not much of a coach but a hell of a financier (he took the big boys to the wood shed when negotiating his contract). They should fire the people that negotiated with him and use their combined salarys to buy him out. You have to put up with what.........3 more years ? He has run off or caused to transfer more players than he has brought in it seems and its obvious they don't want to play for him when they get to Carbondale.

When SIU stepped up and gave CLo the big contract, I was very envious of their ability to find the $$$$ to go up a level on commitment to maintaining a better program. Now I'm not so sure..... fwiw, I do have empathy for the loyal uggly fanatics.
