That's correct. Bradley around 1982.

I think Bradley was the last Valley team to win the NIT in 1982.

Congrats Shocks! Great game last night, and a fun way to end the season.

very nicely done Shox. Beat some good teams and winning that tourney is very commendable, congrats! Thought all year that the shox were the best and deepest team in the Valley, I think this proves that correct, too bad they had that bad day against ISU Blue b/c I think this team could have won a game or 2 in the big dance.

Of course you would trade this all for potentially a 1 and done scenario in the NCAA tourney....right? (an opportunity)

Yes.

I had a great time watching the Shocks in the NIT and am proud of their championship. But from a fan perspective it doesn't compare with the excitement of an NCAA tournament game.

I do think that some of our players probably benefitted more from the NIT run, however.

Way to go WSU! Way to do the MVC proud!

(and way to get BU a brief mention towards the end of the game as the last MVC team to win the NIT).
