I can't imagine why you would make the above statement.

The Trees will be the sole conference champion next season.

The Trees will advance to at least the Sweet 16. With Odum, they could go further.

The Shockers are looking at ninth place.

Are you saying Odum is going to put his name in the NBA draft??? ;)

I'm thinking GodOdumGod, lottery pick.

Odum doesn't have to put his name in the draft. The NBA has already determined that it would be undermining his importance by lumping him in with all the other draft eligible players. At the end of the next season they will have a special pre-draft auction with Odum as the only elibible player to be purchased - may the highest bid win.

Hey, lets have some fun. Instead of the famed "Chuck Norris" jokes that have been so popular on the net in the past. Let's start some "Jake Odum" jokes. I mean, since Odum could basically take Norris out with one swift kick to the grapes.

I'm waiting until the end of next year before I form any opinions of Odum. Give the coaches in the league some time to study his moves, learn his tendencies, and develop strategies to counter them.

Scouting is a critical part of MVC play. InSU may not have enough other weapons on the team. Defenses may be able to cheat a bit to cut Odum off.

Looks like we have the next coming of Larry Bird at Indiana St. I mean, wow, Jake Odum makes Michael Mencer look like a walk on. The rest of the Valley should just run away and hide.

On a more realistic note, I really like Jake. He is pretty to watch and is possibly one of the best ball handlers I've seen in the college game or Valley, at least, in a long time, but come on Jake has a long way to go. I'm interested to see if he can develop a better outside shot, then he will really be a player to watch out for. McDerromt is better in my opinion and has a more realistic chance at POY next season. Both were very good freshman, lets see how they are as sophomores. I may be a bit nuts, but 3 years from now when they are all seniors I dont think either of them will be the best player in the league. Rice has a higher ceiling then either of them in my opinion.
Thoughts and prayers to WSU finding a new conference.

I will wait to see next year too. Jake seems like a good player, but sometimes freshmen just get lucky in their freshman year. We all thought Toure Murry was going to be a superstar after his freshman year, but then reality set in. Time will tell if Jake is really that good or not.

If the Trees finish in the top half of the conference next year, God help this esteemed forum.

If Odum makes all conference next year, even God will not be able to help this esteemed forum.
