Osama bin Laden dead

Good for us although I fear retaliation by whackos. Also thought it amusing that NBC broke into coverage right at the key moment of Celebrity Apprentice, showing Donald Trump who's boss still.

I thought this was kind of cool during the Mets-Phils game on Sunday night.

PHILADELPHIA -- The "U-S-A, U-S-A" chants began at Citizens Bank Park in the ninth inning Sunday night, as the New York Mets' Daniel Murphy batted as a pinch-hitter against Philadelphia Phillies reliever Ryan Madson.

And as the news filtered among the announced crowd of 45,713 -- the 137th consecutive sellout in the stadium's history -- about U.S. special forces killing accused Sept. 11 mastermind Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, the chants grew louder and more widespread, and people could be spotted all over the ballpark checking their phones.

"I don't like to give Philadelphia fans too much credit, but they got this one right," Mets third baseman David Wright said.

He added: "I guess it's a proud moment to stand out there and you've got 45-50,000 chanting. That was pretty special."

I heard Jake Odum was on the seal team that executed the order. (j/k had to get that one in there. :P )

In all seriousness, it was pretty cool to see the unity displayed across the country last night. For us in Illinois who are blackhawks fans, we are used to seeing crazy cheering during the whole national anthem before every game. It's an old tradition that I am sure many had seen documented during the playoffs last year. I can only imagine that this will occur at every sporting event across the country throughout the week. It will be very interesting to watch.

I'd like to see Osama's face when God tells him he was wrong about EVERYTHING.

The real sad thing for the night is that Hope is going home...leaving Marlee Matlin as the hot one on the woman's team. This plus the ousting of Gary Busey makes me want to watch Law and Order Re-runs, taking a shot every time I hear the gavel drop.

What bin Laden would be saying right now if we could only hear it:

"Vegans?? That's what I get - 72 Vegans? Dang, I thought it was supposed to be 72 virgins".
