Bradley's Will Egolf with torn ACL

Postby MVCfans » June 11th, 2011, 10:33 am

Bradley senior center tore his ACL during a puck up game and may miss the season.

On the first day back after a two-week break from school, Egolf tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee while playing in a pickup game with his teammates at Renaissance Coliseum.

A best-case scenario would see a return to action by mid-December for the 6-foot-9 Alaska native.

Depending on his recovery, though, it’s entirely possible the fifth-year senior could miss the whole season and be forced to petition for a sixth year of eligibility.

Egolf, who suffered the same injury on Nov. 29, 2008 — six games into his sophomore season — received the word about his latest misfortune Tuesday afternoon after a Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) showed a complete ligament tear.

The Braves can't seem to catch a break in the injury department... I'd almost feel sorry for them if Jim Les was still there.

I feel bad for them. Everything that can possibily go wrong is going wrong; injuries, transfers, firing coaches.
It's very similar to what happened to the Aces after they won the title in 99. Injuries to key players, transfers, and the firing of Crews sent the Aces into a horrible tail spin they still are struggling to recover from to this day. I hate to see that happen to any team.

You're correct, thanks for correcting me. Like you said he would have been fired if he would not have left for the Army position.
