Our 1st Anniversary - A thank you from MVCFans

Today marks the official 1st anniversary for the creation of MVCFans.com. I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone for visiting and contributing to the forum. A special thank you to the board moderators of this site as well as to the administrators of the individual school message boards who have allowed us to introduce our site to their users.

We hope that you have enjoyed MVCFans.com and we believe that most of you have noticed a positive difference in the tone of discussion between fans of the respective schools. We understand and acknowledge that having fans from 10 competing schools posting on the same site will lead to some animated dialogue, but we thank everyone for adhering to our board rules. An additional thanks goes to the Missouri Valley Conference - especially Derrick Dockett and Kelli Briscoe. Derrick is working on some great ideas regarding new media and user participation that fans throughout the conference will enjoy and Kelli was involved in our obtaining credentials to attend MVC events in the coming year.

We look forward to your feedback and hope that our second year is even better than our first. Tomorrow we will begin our poll for fans to rank the MVC mens basketball teams as we prepare for another exciting season.

I've only been here a short time but I've really enjoyed the interaction with fans of the other MVC programs. The site seems very well run. Thank you.
