The MVC Report - Missouri State Bears preview

I added my preview for Missouri State this morning. Lots of questions for a first year coach after losing 4 senior starters, but returning the MVC POY helps. I could have slotted them 4th, 5th, or 6th and ended up at #5.

Seems pretty fair, there are still a lot of questions that will not be answered for a couple of months. I'm interested and how long it will take Gulley and Downing to get the feel of division 1 basketball. It took Nafis Ricks nearly a year when he started playing pretty good ball consistently.

I think Weems could do some crazy things this year, also interested to see Patterson with extended playing time as well. He is a premier shooter from anywhere on the court.

Good analysis of the Bears. I think we'll finish higher but we have a lot of questions to answer.

I really like Scheer and think he'll be a solid contributor for the next 3 seasons. Very, very nice player that's makes everyone around him better.

I suspect when it's all said and done that positions 2-6 will be separated by a handful of plays here and there. There just isn't that much difference between all the those teams.
