Yes, yes and yes. And strength can be a major factor in basketball.

He might be the next Karl Malone, who knows? But until he's done something against Division 1 competition it doesn't matter.

Stutz has been the beneficiary of having been surrounded by some hosses the past couple of years. How fast the new hosses develope is the key for the Shocks this season. Can't ever rely on the 3. I will say the Gregg has a history of recruiting juco's who are ready to play.

Reasonable points made in the preview, and while I think the Shockers will do better than 3rd, I respect the talent that Ind. St. and CU bring this year. I don't think it is at all out of the question that the MVC could get 3 NCAA teams in this year, they probably should, but I wouldn't bet on it. Whoever is third had better plan on winning the MVC tourney if they wants in the Dance.

WSU is a tough nut to crack this year. I always thought Durley was majorly underrated but hey, we will see...My rankings mirror MVCfans to the T so...

I think this analysis is spot on. Durley and Blair were big time physical presences down low, allowing Stutz to not have to play physically. At this point, I think the verdict is out as to whether Stutz is capable of being a physical force game after game. It is often difficult to turn finesse players into physical players (Creighton fans know this all too well as we tried to do it with Lawson for four years). IMO, how well the Shocks do this season is directly related to how far Stutz can take them as their back court is very solid.

We're hoping for a Paul Miller-like turnaround. Miller was harshly criticized for being weak in the post for three years. Then his senior year... dude was a stud.

Stutz doesn't have any difficulty being physical, as his 6 PFs per 40 minutes indicates. If GS can stay out of foul trouble, he has the skill, size, AND physical strength to be the best center in the league. I'm sure Carmichael and Gregg E BJ will have something to say about that, but the stars are aligning for some WSU post domination.

The number of fouls he picks up doesn't automatically correlate to being physical. It could just as easily mean that he's slow or nonathletic and has to foul because he keeps getting beat.
