I honestly feel bad for SIU. Lowery is a bum.

Although I never cared for the belligerent, drunken boys and girls from SIU at the Valley tournament (there were a couple of years back there when they were truly obnoxious), the fall that SIU is taking is tough to watch for me.....I loved the way the Salukies played ball back in the day when they stunted other teams' offenses with their physical, non-stop D. They played with great pride and heart back then.

SIU really needs to find a way to get Lowrey out before he does irreversible damage to the program. I know the buyout is going to be a tough pill to swallow, but at this point I don't think they can afford not to get rid of him.

They've got to already be at the point of no return. Honestly, how much worse can it get?

While it can't get much worse from a wins/losses standpoint it CAN get worse the longer SIU waits to make a change. The longer a team is down, the harder it gets to find a GOOD replacement willing to take on the job of rebuilding. Then you have to start taking swings at unproven coaches or coaches with little experience and hope for the best. Many times you will go through 2 or 3 of those types of coaches until you can find one who can stop the bleeding. Next thing you know you are 10 years into being HORRIBLE and the glory days are a distant memory.

It's almost like I've been through that as a fan. Oh wait...I went through the 90's with the Shox....so I guess I have.

SIU needs to make a move....QUICK.
