WSU at Virginia Tech - Audio (03-20-11)

Our second flashback for today with “Sunday’s with play-by-play announcer Mike Kennedy” has the WSU Shockers on the road for the 2nd round game of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) against the Virginia Tech Hokies. The Hokies had beaten the #1 team in the nation, the Duke Blue Demons, a few weeks earlier and were still relegated to the NIT. Can the Shockers continue their “Road Warrior” persona? College of Charleston at WSU - Audio (03-23-11)

Our third flashback memory for today with “Sunday’s with play-by-play announcer Mike Kennedy” has the WSU Shockers back at home for the quarter final (3nd round) game of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) against the College of Charleston Cougars. The Cougars have two big wins, including one on the road at Cleveland State, but can their magical run continue in the NIT. Let’s listen in on the final seconds:

Washington State vs Wichita State - Audio (03-23-11)

Our fourth flashback memory for today with “Sunday’s with play-by-play announcer Mike Kennedy” has the WSU Shockers at the world famous Madison Square Garden for the semifinal (4th round) game of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) against the #1 seed WSU Cougars. The WSU Cougars have Pac-10 Player-of-the-Year Klay Thompson and a ton of momentum. Let’s listen in on the final seconds:

I can honestly say that I enjoyed the Shox beatdown on Nebraska as much as any CU win over NU. Truly epic arse kicking.
