Snag,

With three starters out, due to injury, it may not be the end of the world, but I can smell smoke.

rdr

P.S. - Go to zone. The back-ups can play zone. Then pray that our opponents will not kill us with the 3 ball.

If you're going to throw "right now" in there, I don't see why WSU still isn't considered an at-large team? The Tennessee road loss magically makes them an NIT team?

The loss to Tennessee didn't hurt. Six weeks without Carl Hall will, unless I underestimate what HCGM has up his sleeve. I would estimate three or four losses in the first 10 MVC games on WSU's schedule, if Hall is out that long.

If it goes 4 weeks your talking 5 Valley games. That would include UNI at Wichita then Drake, Bradley on the road, SIU at Wichita, E-ville on the road. I'm sorry but I gotta believe Wichita will be competitive in each of these games without Hall. If they can't go 3-2 minimum over that stretch then I gotta believe they weren't going to compete for an at large with Hall.

If it goes longer then you run into ISUr and CU at Wichita and thats trouble but we will see. I got a feeling, Hall being a senior and being the tough guy that he is, 4 weeks will be all that is needed. Granted if your thumb doesn't work it doesn't matter how tough you are.

Lufile is more than a capable back up at the 5. The real question is will EO's ankle be ready to go and will EO be able to stay out of foul trouble and play 20 minutes a night. I think you will also see instances of White sliding over to the 5 from time to time.

In a few games, we've had Early as the largest player on the court, if I recall correctly. Anyway, really have to hope Orukpe is healthy and Lufile steps up.
