CU wins another close one. Couple of observations from last night's game.

Godfather's will not be giving away a lot of free pizzas this year.

Who would have ever thought a Korver would earn 37 minutes playing time because of his defense? 3 pts, 7 boards, but kept their best player, Perez, in check all night. McDermott specificallys stated after the game that Korver got a lot of minutes because of his defense.

CU will give up a lot of permiter shots this year, and will probably struggle against good perimiter shooting teams because of it. On the other hand, we should have a good chance against any team that does not shoot well from the perimeter.

Better cover Kenny Lawson out to 22 feet - but he needs to start hitting the bunnies (2-3 3 pt and 3-9 from in close)

CU is not going to run away from any team and no lead will be safe, because of our poor shooting.

CU's tendancy to give up a lot of offensive boards is going to cost us a couple more games we should have won.

Don't put CU at the line.

These guys have gutted out three games down to the wire - which will make for a lot of fun finishes.

How refreshing to have a coach who allows his players to be interviewed and seems to enjoy talking about the game afterwards. I think the post game show has gone approximately 30 minutes longer after each game this year than at any time during Altman's years. We will see if this changes after a loss.

McDermott is the first CU coach to win his first three games in something like 85 years.

Although I think this team will be doing good to get to 20 wins this year, they are already much more fun to watch and root for than the teams from the last 2 to 3 years.
