Every MVC fan should make it a point to see a game where he's playing some time in the next 3 years.

Am I right in assuming that it wasn't as close as the score would indicate? I could have sworn when I checked the score on channelsurfing at one point you guys were up 20 points..like 61-41 or 71-51??

You are right. It was a 20-pt game for a good chunk of the 2nd half. I think the lead got up to 23 at one point. The Shocks didn't finish the game well and TSU got a few more shots to drop.

Those who said PG would be an issue were correct. Murry and Kyles were our starting guards. While Ragland and Williams got some points, they didn't play particularly well. I think Ragland will get it. Not sure about Williams.

Very similar to Drake's game with TSU on Saturday. Drake led by 22 with 6-7 minutes left, and the final margin was 14.

TSU packed the post on D. Once the post players figured out to pass when they got the ball and the 3's started dropping (around mid-way in the first half) - game over.

When the margin hit 20, it seemed that the Shox started - shall we say - practicing things that needed some work, and experimenting with different on-court combinations. If the Shox had stuck with what was working, the margin probably could have been 40, but that wouldn't have accomplished anything for either team, so what's the point?

The last 3 minutes was 3 first-year players (Ragland, Smith, Orukpe), a walk on, and Ellis. TSU still had their front line guys in. About every WSU possession then was a TO and TSU put up 12 points in the final 3 minutes.

Most of that had to do with walk-on Derek Brown.
