Lemon averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals last week, leading Bradley (12-7, 4-3 MVC) to a pair of 69-66 victories at Carver Arena. The honor is the first in Lemon’s career and he is the first Brave to be named Valley Player of the Week since Andrew Warren March 1, 2011.
In Tuesday’s win against Southern Illinois, Lemon scored 16 points, tied his career-best with eight assists and shared game-high honors with three steals in Tuesday’s win against Southern Illinois.
In Saturday’s win against Missouri State, Lemon scored a game-high 20 points, including the game-winning points on a running, 25-footer as time expired. Lemon’s shot was featured as the No. 3 play in ESPN SportsCenter’s Top Plays segment Saturday night.
Lemon leads Bradley in scoring (13.8 points per game) and assists (3.8 assists per game) and he ranks second in The Valley to teammate Dyricus Simms-Edwards and 27th nationally by averaging 2.3 steals per game.
