Very cool! Hawkins was the man.

As a side note, you better hope the bju fans don't see this. They don't think anybody should post significant historical events about individual teams on here. You might get called a troll. Then again, I think that just applies to wsu posters...

Well I will admit I am a Bradley fan. The main time I would post on here would be in the pre-conference season when I am rooting for every Valley team to win.

I guess since it is my fist post I could see it upsetting some people. I just thought it was amazing his stats that game. I actually think I was a student at SIUC then. I grew up a Bradley fan though.

Bradley had some players and some great coaches with colorful personalities who could coach and recruit on the national level (coaches and players then went on to the NBA).

Thanks for the very interesting historical post. Unfortunately, it will probably get crapped on because
1. It didn't glorify Creighton
2. Was before a bunch of D-2 schools were brought in, causing most of America to forget about the conference.

Again, thanks for the walk down memory lane.
