If he had spiked it and someone had to go get the ball or something I could see it, but he caught it. Seems like a good opportunity for a warning, not a technical foul.

In a way, it was more like a really, really high dribble than it was a spike. There was no malicious intent at all, and I don't think he was taunting or trying to show anybody up.

I thought I had seen some terrible calls, but that maybe is the worst one I have ever seen!!

The problem with most officials is that they haven't ever played. Anyone who ever played would never make that call.

Does the Valley Commissioner ever get involved in anything like this. It certainly appears that there was an agenda, and I think that Elgin should demand an explanation. I don't think Valley teams should be participating in a tournament where they are going to get screwed and where the announcers participate in the officiating.
