If we sell out every game we could be 7th!

Are there plans for a new arena (Loyola) ?

At this point, no. We just did a complete overhaul of the Joe.

This is what it used to look like:

Remind you of a high school gym? It should.

Here is what it looks like now:

Sure, it's small, but it can get pretty raucous in there. We are hopeful that our move to the MVC will bring more people out (hard to get excited about Youngstown St., Cleveland State, Wright State, etc). If we consistently pack the place, there may be a chance that we upgrade. But I find that to be highly unlikely in the next decade.

Bradley's 2012-13 average attendance was the lowest during the 17 years that the MVC membership was the same (1996-97 through 2012-13). From the 1996-97 season through the 2009-10 season (14 years) Bradley averaged over 9,000 people per game each year and averaged over 10,000 per game in 1999-00. In 2010-11, the average fell to 8,447 and then to 7,640 during the 2011-12 season. Last season, it, again, went lower to 6,557.

A lot of folks didn't renew season tickets after Geno's first season, going 7-25. The place was packed twice last year, the Michigan game and the ISU rivalry game. And this year, Bradley is playing two regular season games at the smaller on-campus arena, and raised season ticket prices. They did add premium seating this year on the edge of the floor.
Of course the best remedy for attendance is to compete for conference championships
