I always think every mid major team under consideration in March should send, along with general information that usually gets provided to the selection committee, a list of rejections from high-major schools and conferences about games turned down. While SoS is still weighted heavily, I think the committee is slowly turning around to evaluating situations in addition to the raw numbers.

Good mid major teams turn down their share of games as well.

Good mid major teams turn down their share of games as well.

I think that you may have misses the point of the article. There is no excuse for Texas A M or LSU to duck very good nonconf games that are on national TV, close to home against other good teams
