Iowa Wesleyan might be the worst opponent I've seen in 38 years of following Drake.

Final was 104-49.....can't take anything from that. Freshmen Blake Danielak (18 pts) and Jacob Enevold Jensen (17 pts) led the way for Drake.

Does anyone currently think Drake will finish 10th? Sounds like they've aquitted themselves pretty well in the opening week of the season.

Right now I almost feel Illinois St will be the 10th place team. They are a mess!

I can't take this win as anything more than an exhibition style game.

Iowa Weslyan is a United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division 2 school....I live in Iowa and I've never freaking heard of that. Apparently the USCAA is 86 mostly small colleges, community colleges and junior colleges around the US.....

I'm honestly getting confused trying to figure out what the hell this thing is

Exactly. This team was bad. Real bad. Drake played D3 Central College in an exhibition last week, and I think Central would beat this team by 30+ points.

They were previously a member of NAIA but have moved to NCAA Division III. However, they are only a provisional NCAA member (in part because they have players still on scholarship from their NAIA days) and are therefore also in USCAA so that they have something to play for. It's an affiliate thing. They play in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference....Eureka College, MacMurray College, etc.

They were basically a .500 team in the Midwest Collegiate Conference of NAIA playing the likes of William Penn, Grand View, and St. Ambrose.

They beat Central in OT in Pella last year.
