Rebounding

With the players he inherited from Jim Les, Geno Ford's first team at BU was last in the MVC in rebounding. I'm a big Tom Izzo fan, and I love how he emphasizes rebounding -- it's the only stat he cares about because it's his leading "toughness indicator."

Against CMU, only a few games into his third season, Geno saw his team out-rebound an average DI team (not a great team, not an awful team, and probably an above-average [Keno] coached team) by a 50-28 margin. That's the most dominant BU has been on the boards in a single game since 2005.

That stat alone is why I love how and who Geno recruits. He'll only be at BU a few more years before someone else doubles his 900K per year package. But I will be enjoying every minute of it!

I also think Ford is a good coach. Definitely has Bradley going in the right direction. Further, in college basketball today, there's no guarentee a coach will bolt after a small amount of success. Bradley has the resources to pay Ford. I think Marshall's contract started out at like 800K or something.

I'd love to see Bradley battling WSU for the top of the league in a few years.

Geno isn't making 900K.

The talent on campus is much better than anytime during the last 3-4 years. But still a ways to go to get to WSU level.
