Marshall / Baker
OVERALL 44% (13-30) / 55% (24-40)
THREE POINTERS 50% (5-10) / 50% (12-24)
FVV has the ball a lot and goes to the rim the most. Baker is on the Wing and FVV drives and dishes it out to open 3 Pt. Shooters on the wing when the defense comes to stop him.
Well actually it was your own fans who resurfaced this not me, but your point about FVV driving and dishing is a very valid one. I noticed that Baker's assist total is also very good this year so he is also doing his share of finding people, whether off a drive or by making the extra pass I'm not sure. Again I wouldn't be too quick to use such a small sample size to make declarative statements, as you take away their last game and both Baker and Marshall were shooting much worse, or what would one say about Early shooting in the 20% range from the trey line this year so far. Way too early to say anything beyond a player either being off to a good/bad/or ok start . I like to let the year play out and then things become much clearer about who can shoot, who actually takes the ball to the hole, etc. etc.
Funny how WSU fans spent all last year talking about McDermott's defensive deficiencies, lack of blocked shots etc. etc. and that's just objective observations, but I make a statement about Baker being mostly a spot up shooter last year, which is clearly supported by the stats, and it's treated like a vendetta against the kid.
The Bear is the largest carnivore on the North American continent; beware the Bear!
