Seconded, he is an ass. What a stupid shot at ISUb, also.

I guess Kansas got run out of the gym by the "JV" for the first 30 minutes yesterday, and ultimately lost to them?

Not sure what Gottlieb's problem is this year, think he's just trying to be 'provocative' with his thoughts on WSU. He's normally pretty thoughtful, but this one he seems like he's just being a jerk. At some point, blowing out almost everyone you play in what's still the #11-ranked league (not great, and it's definitely a down year, but still not the Big Sky or anything) has to count for something.

Either he has a personal vendetta against WSU or he's just being a troll for media attention. I think it's the latter.

The "they haven't played anyone" argument is just inane when this team finished #4 last year. If you've been proven to be one of the four best teams in the country, lack of schedule strength doesn't somehow disprove what you've already proved ... losing would do that. And as far as I can tell WSU hasn't lost.

Either way ... WSU now takes up the mantle for every non-major conference team into the tournament. At one point one of these teams is going to win a national championship ... hopefully it's WSU.

Gottlieb called a game in Wichita. In that game he referred to Baker as having played his HS basketball in Scott City, Iowa. In addition, he was fairly disrespectful of the Shox during the game. That led to a twitter war between Gottlieb and some WSU fans.

Ever since then Gottlieb has had a 5-hour erection, but instead of seeking medical attention, he's spewed hatred about WSU. Dissing the Shox is getting him some recognition. Removing his hand from his penis would probably be better for his long-term health.

Goatlube is a garden variety troll. His job is to get a rise out of sports fans. Calling him an ass is what he wants.

But think they've got the parts to still be very good. Need a few pieces in recruiting, but will still be a contender.

ISU will bring 5 freshmen to the table next year, though two will be redshirts. Brenton Scott will likely begin the season backing up Devonte Brown, but I really think Lansing wants to give him the keys to the car and slide Brown over to the 2 as he's more of a slasher than a facilitator. We also have Tre Bennett coming in as a JuCo transfer, but I haven't seen much of anything making me think he'll contribute next year. Alex Etherington will be coming off of redshirt due to injury and working along with Brandon Burnett and Laquarious Paige (another incoming freshman) to backup Smith/Brown. There's enough there to piece-meal a backcourt together right away, but it will definitely take some time to make anything gel after losing a four year starter like Odum.
